New York City based Jazz Pop artist and award winning best person, Eddy Marshall, has just released his newest single, “Gabby.” It’s been described by someone close to me as “the best song he’s written so far!” And I have to agree. It’s wonderful.
“Gabby” is the embodiment of everything I imagine when I say the name Eddy Marshall. A perfect combination of Norah Jones, John Mayer, and the Gorillaz. “Gabby” was recorded in the closet of producer Kurt Thum, and credit to the duo, because it sounds incredible.
Marshall’s placid vocals and dreamy guitar playing invite you in to his world. Onto his “lonely shoulder.” Into his “pensive room.“
Eddy Marshall’s previous track is called “Distance.” And it requires mentioning, because it’s one of my personal favorites of 2020.
