Coming in hot with a video that literally gave me goosebumps, Feroxx has just dropped her final single, “Run”, from her second EP, Sincerely, Feroxx. The video drops on the anniversary of her sobriety, and you’re right to think that her music is jam-packed with meaning.
ON THE MEANING OF ‘RUN’
“[Run] is about fierce and unrivaled courage. When pursuing any dream, we inevitably reach a point where we find ourselves in ‘the middle’: that place where we’ve come incredibly far from our starting point, but we can’t see the promise of the destination. ‘The middle’ is where the odds feel unbelievably stacked against us. ‘The middle’ can be discouraging and defeating, but it is also the place where things like grit, passion, tenacity, and work ethic are put to the ultimate test.
This song represents my decision to keep going. It’s a polite middle finger to the haters. It is about finding beauty in that place I call, ‘the middle,’ and holding firm to the fire that fueled the starting line to begin with.

Feroxx produces all her songs with her husband, an experienced metal drummer, and they went absolutely ham on the production of “Run”. Her music combines a lot of different genres, but all of her songs are crafted with heart, soul, and a fierceness that only comes after overcoming a huge obstacle.
“Run” is a huge song. I mean, just epic. The kick and bass are pure power. Feroxx’s vocal is ethereal. The synths are colossal. And in the midst of all this power, NexKin comes in to drop one of my favorite rap verses I think I might have ever heard in a pop song. And that’s without mentioning the production quality of the video, which is insane. Kudos to Justin Hardman and the production team at Colorado Sound Studios.
Overall, “Run” is an epic and absolute banger of a song, and I can totally see why Feroxx was saving this one for the end. It’s pretty much everything you could ever want in a song, and more. Go listen. Go follow. Do your thing internet.
