“Hollywood Gold” is a great callback to its classic rock roots. Guitars, drums, bass, and a harmonica!? What more could you want in a song? Not much.
I came across this song quickly today and was immediately grabbed by the quality of the recording. It just sounds good. There’s this pristine quality, that I can’t really describe apart from saying it has been recorded really well. Cheers to the engineer and production team!
“Hollywood Gold” has an unforgettable chorus that you’re sure to have in your head for days. It’s as much Tom Petty as it is The Strokes. But along with the classic there are elements of modern pop/rock that make this song timeless.
