Draw by RVBY MY DEAR

“Draw” by RVBY MY DEAR breaks out with it’s beat, a powerful kick and heavily reverberated clap, yet somehow, it feels very intimate. As Perth native Gabriella Coenen sings “I could hear you coming through the door,” I’m grasping onto every word she sings.

“Draw” is arranged masterfully. Soft and almost menacing in the verse. I can feel her brooding, like a storm is coming, as she sings “I’ll try to ignore it.” And that’s when we hear the song fill out. Hi-hats and a distorted guitar send “Draw” into an electrifying performance that I would love to view live.

What I love most about this song is how the it builds and builds as you listen. Culminating in a great instrumental section around 2:20 and a powerful repetition of the last two lines.

Draw you down into my lungs
You’ll need it more than air
